Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake

We start with a scenic drive to Mollepata and then to Soraypampa. After lunch, we hike up to the stunning turquoise Humantay Lake before returning to our campsite for the night.

Day 2: Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Chaullay

The most challenging day involves trekking up to the Salkantay Pass (4,630 m) for breathtaking views of the glaciers. Afterward, we descend into the high jungle, arriving at our campsite in Chaullay.

Day 3: Chaullay – La Playa – Lucmabamba (Coffee Route)

A more relaxed trek through the Santa Teresa Valley. We hike along the "Coffee Route" to Lucmabamba, where we can visit local coffee plantations and enjoy the tropical climate.

Day 4: Lucmabamba – Llaqtapata – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes

We hike up to the Llaqtapata archaeological site to see Machu Picchu from a distance. Then, we descend to the Hydroelectric station and walk along the train tracks to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco

The highlight of the trip! We take the bus up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the citadel. In the afternoon, we return to Cusco by train and bus.
