We start with a drive to Mollepata and then Soraypampa. After settling in, we hike up to the stunning Humantay Lake to enjoy the turquoise waters and snow-capped peaks before returning to camp.
The big challenge! We ascend to the highest point, Salkantay Pass (4,650 m), for epic views of the Andes. Afterward, we descend through the cloud forest to reach our campsite in Chaullay.
We continue through the lush Santa Teresa valley to Hydroelectric. From there, we enjoy a scenic walk along the train tracks to Aguas Calientes, resting at the hotel for the night.
We take the bus up to Machu Picchu for a full guided tour of the lost Inca citadel. In the afternoon, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.
