Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba
  • 05:00 a.m. | Hotel pickup. Transfer Cusco → Km 82 (Piscacucho).
  • 08:30 a.m. | Start of the hike. Official registration. Gentle hike along the Urubamba River.
  • Archaeological Sites: Llactapata.
  • Campsite: Wayllabamba.
  • Altitude: 3,000 m / 9,842 ft
Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo (Most Challenging Day)
  • High Mountain Trek: Challenging ascent to Warmiwañusca Pass (4,215 m / 13,828 ft).
  • Highlights: Spectacular panoramic views of the Andes.
  • Campsite: Pacaymayo.
  • Rest and dinner at camp.
Day 3: Pacaymayo – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Wayna
  • Archaeological Sites: Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca.
  • Final Campsite: Wiñay Wayna.
  • Altitude: 2,650 m / 8,694 ft
Day 4: Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco
  • 04:00 a.m. | Start of the hike. Hike towards Inti Punku (Sun Gate).
  • 06:30 a.m. | Arrival at Machu Picchu. Panoramic sunrise view.
  • 08:00 – 10:30 a.m. | Professional guided tour.
  • Return: Bus to Aguas Calientes, return tourist train, and transfer to Cusco.
